Thank you for your interest in The Newark Historical Society! We are an all-volunteer association of people and businesses who are interested in the history of Newark, Delaware. The Newark Historical Society Museum has volunteer opportunities for talents of every kind. From museum hosts, to researchers, to collections specialists, to the mechanically inclined, we have something for everyone who is interested in hands-on history. No previous experience is necessary. Museum Hosts
Opening the Museum and welcoming our guests when we are open.
No training or knowledge of Newark history is required!

Collection Care Team

Collections Care Team members work on most Tuesdays and Fridays, year-round, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Collections Care: involves cataloging, tagging, storing, organizing, preserving items in our historical collection

Display volunteers help to plan and create our yearly exhibits.

Research Team

Research Team members work on most Tuesdays and Fridays, year-round, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Research Team members help to conduct various research inquiries that the museum receives, both in house and from the public.
